In April, the GirlFriends wrapped up their season with a visit from Golden PAWS Assistance Dogs. Golden PAWS is a nonprofit organization that promotes independence for combat-wounded veterans, first responders, and children with life changing disabilities through partnership with skilled assistance dogs. One of the doggies, Roxie, came along as a special guest. Ladies, once again you outdid yourselves with your generous donations for the Lee County Domestic Animal Services. It is evident that we sure do love our animals here in Grandezza.
In conjunction with the presentation at the luncheon, Carole Ann’s Picassos held their annual art show in the lobby. So much talent! Thanks Carole Ann Levi, Nancy Rajtik, Carol Stephens, Winnie Goldblatt, Vickie Baker, Lenore Blanco, Joanne O’Keefe, Judy Cohen, Jean Burke, Sheila Solyom, and Cindy Tassio for sharing your beautiful artwork with the rest of us.
The birthdays of LuAnn Carlson, Judy Cox, Robin Lesser, RoseAnne Marcin, Susan Mastrolia, Ute Nevara. Kathy Roman, Patrica Stentz and Laura Summy also were recognized and celebrated. The special GirlFriend’s bracelet was awarded to Darlene Polyschuk.
